AEI-03 Different and Interesting Triangle 7N-8D

Expert Rating: Asia Escapes

“This program is a gem for travelers seeking connection . Unlike conventional tours, this itinerary introduces three unique and valuable elements: the mystical spirituality of Pushkar (one of the few places dedicated to Brahma), the rural experience at Suroth Mahal where you can live like a former maharaja, and direct human contact with an Indian family in Jaipur . It’s a product designed for those who want to ‘feel’ India, not just photograph it. The logistics on the Shatabdi high-speed train add a touch of modernity and comfort that clients will appreciate.”

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to visit Old Delhi. We will stop in front of the Red Fort and take a rickshaw ride through the narrow streets of Old Delhi. After the tour, we will head to Raj Ghat. This beautiful park is where the cenotaph, a black marble platform marking the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated after his assassination, is located. Pandit Nehru and Indira Gandhi were also cremated there. We will continue our visit to New Delhi. We will see the government buildings, India Gate, a 42-meter-high stone triumphal arch inscribed with the names of the 90,000 Indian Army soldiers who died during World War I. We will enjoy a panoramic view of the Parliament area and the President’s residence.
Later, we will visit the Sikh temple: Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, a temple of the Sikh faith, located in Connaught Place. It is the most important Sikh temple in Delhi. Thousands of people of all faiths visit this temple daily. Finally, we will see the Qutub Minar, one of the oldest monuments in the first city of Delhi, as its construction began in 1199. This complex is characterized by its blend of Hindu and Islamic styles. Its minaret, the tallest in the world, reaches a height of 72.5 meters, arranged in five tiers of decreasing diameter. At the foot of the minaret is the Alai Darwaza Gate, made of red and yellow bricks, which once served as the entrance to the mosque. The tomb of Sultan Iltutamish and the mausoleum of Imam Zami are also located here. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Picnic breakfast.   Transfer to the train station to board the Shatabdi train to Ajmer. Upon arrival, transfer by road to your hotel in Pushkar. In the afternoon, visit the city of Pushkar , a very important pilgrimage center for Hindus. Visit the Temple of Brahma, take a walk along Pushkar’s main street, and see the sacred lake. Brahma, the “creator” god, is depicted with a beard, four heads, four hands, and the Vedas (book of knowledge). His mount is the swan, and his consort is Savitri. According to legend, Pushkar means “pool born from the flower,” and it was formed when Brahma threw a lotus flower to earth to mark a location for his “yagna,” a type of sacred sacrifice. Pushkar is considered as old as creation itself in Hinduism. The lake is considered one of the most sacred places, and it is believed that a simple dip in its waters on Kartika Purnima is equivalent to performing yagnas for several hundred years. This visit includes the Ghats and the Brahma Temple , the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma in the entire country, built in the 14th century on a high marble plinth covering the steps leading up to it. A beautiful silver-carved turtle sits on the floor in front of the sanctuary, or Garbha Griha. The floor surrounding the turtle is also marble. Overnight stay.

Yoga class before breakfast. Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Jaipur, arrival and transfer to the hotel. Jaipur, the Pink City, owes its nickname to the color of the sandstone used to construct the buildings of the old city. The city’s pleasing design is thanks to Maharaja Jai Singh II, who began its construction in 1728 and commissioned his architect, Vidyadhar Chakravarty, to skillfully blend diverse styles such as Hindu, Jain, Mughal, and Persian. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to Amber Fort, where you will ascend on elephants or in jeeps (elephant rides and jeep descents subject to availability). Continue your visit to the Maharaja’s Palace , the residence of the Jaipur royal family. This complex is filled with palaces, gardens, and other buildings, most notably the seven-story Chandra Mahal, which houses the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum. Here you can admire carpets, enamels, weapons, miniature paintings, cannons, and the maharajas’ clothing. Afterward, visit Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory with a 30-meter-high sundial and other fascinating astronomical instruments, the Central Museum, and Ram Niwas Gardens, which includes a small zoo with a crocodile farm and other animals. If you have the opportunity, don’t miss the Elephant Festival, held in March, where you can see these beautifully adorned elephants parading in procession. We will also visit Gaitore (the Maharaja Memorial), the most important site for the royal family of Jaipur, located in a corner of the city, where the other memorials of the kings of Jaipur are also found. Time for shopping. Dinner with an Indian family . Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Departure for Suroth. Arrival and transfer to Suroth Mahal. Lunch at the Palace. In the afternoon, a visit to the village by camel-drawn cart, and a visit to a rural home to experience daily life in the countryside. You will see, for example, how local tea and homemade bread are made. Suroth Mahal : The king of Amber (Jaipur) was Prithvi Singh, who had 19 children. The king gave this land to one of his sons, named Sultanji. Sultanji had 5 sons, and many battles had already taken place in this village. Sultanji won one of the most important wars, for which the kings of Jaipur rewarded him with a large sum of money. In 1830, this area was conquered by King Vijay Singh. This palace was actually built 800 years ago by Maharaja Baldev Singh. This palace was recently converted into a Heritage Hotel, where travelers now have the opportunity to stay and feel like a true Maharaja (King). Return to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Agra; arrival and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Agra Fort , a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983. Construction dates back to 1565, and it was conceived as a walled palace surrounded by a deep moat. The fort, accessed through an imposing gate called Amar Singh, contains numerous palaces and stately buildings built by the Mughal emperor Akbar and used by successive Mughal governments as a base of operations for Mughal power. Overnight stay .

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the monument that has brought worldwide fame to Agra and become a symbol of India, the Taj Mahal (closed every Friday of the year) . This mausoleum was commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1631 in honor of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Lady of the Taj, who died giving birth to their fourteenth child in 1629. Construction, which involved 20,000 people, was not completed until 1653 and is the most representative example of Mughal architecture. The chief architect, Isa Khan, designed the complex within a rectangle measuring 508 by 304 meters, with a central garden flanked on all four sides by octagonal pavilions. The mausoleum is made entirely of white marble.
